Video of Pilot whales chasing away Orcas off La Gomeras

On August 20th, 2018, our guests on board the Speedy boat got to observe something very special – Pilot whales chasing away a group of Orcas. The sighting of Killer whales itself is something very special off the coast of Gomera, but in this case the real spectacle was that the Pilot whales drove the Killer whales out of their own territory.

The chase could have easily ended the other way around, only a few weeks ago Orcas were observed off the coast of Tenerife with a killed Pilot whale. It was definitely a very special experience for the guests on board the Speedy.
