17.06.2021: Pilot whales & a dead calf

Sightings June 17th, 2021 – La Gomera: Since last week, a mother pilot whale has been seen off the coast of La Gomera carrying her dead calf.

The photos are not of the best quality but you can see that the body is already in a very bad state as the decomposition is quite advanced. It is very sad but at the same time interesting to see the behaviour of these cetaceans.
